Kamaljeet Rana’s love for dancing began in childhood. He was inspired by Hrithik Roshan’s performance in Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai (2000).
Kamaljeet Rana worked as a software developer before becoming an actor. In 2010, he joined Dell as a software developer and worked there until 2012.

In 2012, he joined Virtusa as a software developer and worked until 2013.
He started working as a freelance model in 2010. He has walked on the ramp for the fashion designer Ramesh Dembla and was associated with Bangalore Fashion Week (BFW) as a model for three seasons.

He received his first payment of Rs. 5000 for 5 days of modelling.
He got training in acting from the acting school known as Kreating Charakters Acting Institute, Mumbai.
He used to give three auditions a day and met many people from the entertainment industry before he was chosen for the role of “Dushasan” in Suryaputra Karn (2015-2016) on Sony TV.
He has worked with theatre groups in Mumbai to gain more experience as an actor. In an interview, he stated,
I would prefer acting over everything! I am also getting into theatres now as theatres give you more insight and experience to deal with live audience. You feel a direct connect with the audience and your fans.”
He has appeared in several TV shows such as Karmaphal Daata Shani (2016-20121) on Colors TV, 21 Sarfarosh – Saragarhi 1897 (2018) on Discovery Jeet, and Chandragupta Maurya (2018) on Sony TV.

Kamaljeet loves dogs and often takes them for a walk and plays with them. He has a street dog named “Mishti” and a pug named “Atom.”
