In 2022, he was accused of hurting his wife by running his car over her. According to the police, his wife got injuries to both her legs, right hand and head. She complain to the police and he was charged under sections 279 (rash driving) and 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) as well as sections 134 A and B of the Motor Vehicles Act for rushing away from the spot without rendering help or informing the police.
