Kalyani Saha Chawla grew up in a joint family in Kolkata. Her grandfather was a freedom fighter turned businessman.

Her mother wanted her to become a doctor, but she had always been interested in art and fashion since childhood.
After completing her graduation from a college in Chennai, she started working at The Indian Express at the age of 22, where she published 4 magazines.
She later worked in several hotels’ marketing departments, including the Oberai hotel chain. She later ran a corporate gifting business.
She took her first step in the fashion business by opening a store in Kolkata named After Her, where she used to design clothes.
When she came to Delhi later, Kalyani Saha met Vishal Chawla. After her marriage, she started a factory in Noida and started a luxury export business. She exported clothes to various international brands including Jean-Paul Gaultier, Mango, Ralph Lauren, Zara, and Jimmy Choo.

In 2005, she became the Vice President – Marketing and Communications of Christian Dior Couture (India) until 2017. She later started her marketing agency, Koi Communications, which has Dior as its client.
She later co-founded the luxury e-commerce portal Lulu and Sky.
In 2022, she started her silverware brand named Rezon Luxury Silverware.
