Wrong comments about Jammu and Kashmir In July 2014, she was accused by the police of commenting on Jammu and Kashmir. A case was registered under Sections 124-A (sedition) and 505 (statements conducing to public mischief) of IPC. In an interview, she talked about Kashmir and said, Jammu and Kashmir and Telangana were both forcefully and at the same time annexed to the Indian Union." check sources The Economic Times Delhi liquor policy case • On 7 February 2023, Butchi Babu, who was a former auditor of Kavita was arrested by the CBI for his non-cooperation in the Delhi liquor policy case. The CBI said that his answers were vague. • In December 2022, Kavita was also summoned in the same case because she was alleged by the ED to be a part of the “South Cartel," a group consisting of Kavitha of Telangana’s ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi, Magunta Srinivasalu Reddy, an MP from Andhra Pradesh’s ruling YSR Congress, and Sarath Reddy of Aurobindo Pharma that was backing people involved in Delhi’s excise policy.
