K.K. Raina is a veteran and a versatile actor, writer, and producer. People of 90âs remember him as  Ajit Kumar Banerji( subordinate of Byomkesh Bakshi), of the famous series Byomkesh Bakshi.Â
His parents were against his decision of becoming an actor.
After being encouraged by his guru Mr .M.P Sharma, he left the job of an auditor and decided to join National School of Drama.
It was a dream come true for him when he cleared an interview for admission in The National School of Drama and was offered a scholarship too.
He has acted in various famous films such as Rang De Basanti, Delhi-6, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Tanu Weds Manu, Mirzya, Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana (2017), etcÂ
After the span of 22 years, in the year 2012, he returned to the television platform in serial Upanishad Ganga.
In an interview, he accepted that he liked to act for films more as compared to the television shows; as he gets the scripts beforehand in case of films.
After working with Ben Kingsley in Gandhi, he realized that acting needs passion and is not everyoneâs cup of tea. He was influenced to see the entire suite of Ben Kingsley which had pictures and books on Mahatma Gandhi. Ben also had a charkha and knew how to use.
