Some Lesser known Facts About Jyoti Malhotra
Jyoti Malhotra was born in a traditional Hindu family. Her father and mother later got divorced.
Her first job was a recepionist in a private school in Hisar.
She was interested in cloth fabrics and achieved a certificate for her participation in Miss Indian Khadi 2017. She started working as a merchandiser at Concept Source Inc. in 2017.

During the initial COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, she moved to Hisar with her father.
In October 2020, she started travel vlogging and uploaded videos on YouTube.
She travelled to different areas of many states, including Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, and the North East states.

She made headlines in May 2025 when police arrested her after Operation Sindoor and accused her of spying for Pakistan. She was accused of sharing sensitive information about the military with Pakistani Intelligence Officers (PIOs).
A FIR number 0153 was registered in the Hisar Civil Lines police station on 16 May 2025 under sections 3 and 5 of the Official Secrets Act and section 152 of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) 2023.

According to the FIR, she went to the Pakistan High Commission in 2023 to get documents for her Pakistan visit, where she met a person named Ahsan ur Rahim aka Danish. They exchanged phone numbers to talk about the application process.

When she went to Pakistan, she met Rahim’s friend, Ali Ahwan, who arranged for her stay and travel. He introduced her to Shakir and Rana Shehbaz, two officers from the Pakistani military and intelligence department.

She later kept in touch with him and talked to him on Telegram, WhatsApp, and Snapchat. She also met Danish multiple times. One source even claimed that she went on an international trip with an ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence- Pakistan’s intelligence agency) agent.
A video went viral in which she talked to Maryam Nawaz Sharif , Chief Minister of Pakistani Punjab.

Some news channels reported that she visited Pahalgam and later travelled to Pakistan, one month before the Pahalgam attack in April 2025.

Indian intelligence officers have been tracking her activities since 2023.
Police arrested her on the night of 15 May 2025 at her home. Her father claimed that the police officers also took all the documents, including bank statements, passport, and other ID documents. The court later remanded her to 5 days of judicial custody.
