John Vijay is an Indian actor who works in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi films. He is mainly known for his comedic and villainous roles in the films.
He worked for Radio One 94.3 FM as a head programme director before establishing himself as a successful actor.
He came into the limelight after acting in his second Tamil film ‘Oram Po’ (2007) in which he played the role of an auto driver named Pichchai (Son of Gun).

He appeared alongside Vikram and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the Tamil film ‘Raavanan’ (2010). In an interview, he revealed that he overcame his fear of working alongside big stars after working in the film. He said,
I need to thank Mani Ratnam for casting me in Raavan, which had an ensemble cast from all industries. So, I got over the fear of acting with big stars.”

Vijay has acted in the Kannada film ‘Prithvi’ (2010) in which he essayed the role of Inspector Suryaprakash.
