Some Lesser Known Facts About Jo Yu-ri
Jo Yu-ri is a South Korean singer and actress, who former member of the South KoreanâJapanese girl group Iz*One. In 2023, it was revealed that she would be part of the second season of the popular Netflix South Korean survival drama series âSquid Game.â
Her childhood dream was to become a piano teacher.

In July 2017, she appeared as a contestant in the reality TV show âIdol School;â however, she was eliminated in episode 10 and secured the 15th position in the showâs rankings, which resulted in her not being able to debut with the winning group, Fromis_9.
On 11 May 2018, Yuri participated in Mnetâs reality show âProduce 48â and achieved the 3rd position. As one of the twelve successful participants, she became a member of the newly formed girl group Iz*One.
On 29 October 2018, she made her debut as a singer with eleven other members.

In 2020, the group launched their sole Korean studio album named âBloom*Iz.â She worked as the composer and lyricist for the song âSomedayâ included in the album âBloom*Iz.â

The group, Iz*One, disbanded on 29 April 2021, after their contract expired.
In June 2021, she contributed her vocals to the song âStory of Usâ featured in the South Korean TV series âMonthly Magazine Home.â She has lent her voice to several songs for different South Korean TV shows, such as âDo You Like Brahms?â (2020), âMonthly Magazine Homeâ (2021), âThe Law Cafeâ (2022), and âThe Fabulousâ (2022).
On 2 June 2022, she launched her first EP named âOp.22 Y-Waltz: in Major,â featuring the song âLove Shhh!â as the main track. She also worked as the composer and lyricist for the song âOpeningâ from her album.

In October 2022, she unveiled her second single album titled âOp.22 Y-Waltz: in Minor.â
In 2022, she appeared in season 2 of the South Korean web series âWork Later, Drink Nowâ in which she played a special role as Sieun.
