Being born into a family of musicians, he had in his mind to pursue the same career. His mother, Jayshree was a singer, songwriter.
He has been keeping an eye on Hotel Broadway, Kolkata, a hotel his father ran until his death in November 2012.
Singh was 22 when he met Nischay Parekh at a common friend’s birthday party. Everyone at the party wanted Parekh to play guitar and sing songs. Singh was already an established drummer at that time.
