Some Lesser Known Facts About Jividha Sharma
Jivisha Sharma was born into a conservative Punjabi family.
Her father had hoped that a boy would be born, as he already had 2 daughters. So, he had already thought of the name Crazy. When Jividha Sharma was born, her parents named her Crazy first, but they later changed her name to Jividha after she complained that boys in her school often taunted her by calling her ‘crazy ball.’
She liked studying and sports during her childhood. During her teenage years, she developed an interest in dancing, particularly Kathak.

Her mother liked watching films, and Jividha often watched films with her. So, she also got interested in films.

She later went to a studio for a photoshoot. The studio owner liked her photo and put it on the wall.
A person associated with the South film industry once visited the studio, where he saw her photo and contacted her family.
He later signed her for the Tamil film, Kaadhale Nimmadhi, starring Suriya , which released in 1998. She was in 8th standard at the time.
Her father later told her to focus on education and complete her studies. Famous director Mani Ratnam wanted to cast her in a film, but her father politely declined the offer.
After her 10th exams, she went on a trip to Mumbai with her family.
During the trip, she auditioned for Subhash Ghai’s film Taal. It was her first audition. She passed and got a supporting role.

While shooting for the song Taal Se Taal Mila, she was shooting in Lonavala. During one sequence, she was coming out of a pond when her leg slipped and she tore the ligament of her left leg. Doctors advised her against dancing or even walking.
She shot the remaining song while spraying with painkiller spray, which amazed the choreographer Saroj Khan .
After struggling for more than a year when she gave regular auditions for advertisements but failed to get any, she got a call from Aruna Irani , looking for an actress for the film Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa (2002).

In 2002, she also played the lead role in the Telugu film Yuva Rathna, but got bad reviews for her role.
She later acted in a Hindi film, Sila, which never got completed.
She has been very open about the casting couch experiences during her struggle times in Bollywood.
During an interview, she revealed that people told her to compromise, which she did not understand initially, but later understood they meant to make intimate relationships to get roles in films.
She later acted in many TV serials, including Zameen Se Aassman Tak (2004) and Doli Saja Ke (2008).
She later worked in many Punjabi films, such as The Lion of Punjab (2011) as Jassi, which was Diljit Dosanjh’s debut Punjabi film.
During a trip to Mumbai for the promotion of the film, he once saw a billboard and told Jividha, “One day, my picture will be up there too.“
She was once travelling from Chandigarh to Ludhiana for the promotion of her Punjab film Dil Sada Luteya Gaya, she met with a major road accident which left her bedridden for 6 months and with many cuts and bruises on her entire body, including her face. It took her 2 years to recover completely.
While healing from the injuries, she read many books, such as ‘Steve Jobs’ by Walter Isaacson.
After her recovery, she started studying film production.
From August 2016 to July 2019, she worked as a Business Development Creative and Project & Creative Director at Sri Adhikari Brothers Group.

She was the Creative Director of Red Bulb Studios LLP from March 2020 to October 2020, after which she was promoted to Head – Business and Alliance, which she remained for 1 year.
Between November 2021 and March 2022, she worked as Business Development and Strategic Alliances Manager. She later became the Business Development Head between March 2022 and August 2022.
She served as the Head of Business Development of OTT platform Atrangii from March 2022 to August 2022.
From November 2022 to July 2023, she was the Head of Sales and Development in the Content Engineers.
She also served as a producer at Bulb Chamka from July 2023 to September 2023.
In September 2023, she became the Chief Operating Officer at the SP Cinecorp Cinematic Venture Limited.
She is a believer of manifestation and visualisation techniques and also has a vision board in her house.
