Some Lesser Known Facts About Jeffrey Vandersay
In June 2015, Jeffrey played his first international match for the SLCB President’s XI against Pakistan.
Jeffrey was the 168th player for Sri Lanka when he made his ODI debut. He conceded 34 runs in 2 overs and remained not out on 7 runs in his debut match.
Jeffrey’s first ODI wicket came against New Zealand in the 3rd ODI of the series at Saxton Oval; he dismissed Tom Latham for 42 runs.
In January 2016, Jeffrey took his first T20I wicket when he dismissed New Zealand’s Corey Anderson in the match.
Jeffrey was included in the 2016 ICC World Twenty20 tournament squad as a replacement for Lasith Malinga who was ruled out from the tournament due to an injury.
