On 22 March 2000, he was appointed as the Government’s Deputy Chief Whip.
In 2001, he was a special invitee to the Business Advisory Committee.
In 2000, he became a member of various committees including the House Committee on English Medium School, the House Committee on Railways, and the House Committee on Sareikala and Kharsuan.
