  • Jaspal Bhatti was an Indian actor, director, producer, and television personality who is best known for his satires on the issues related to the common man in India. He is remembered for his shows on Doordarshan including Flop Show, Full Tension, and mini capsules Ulta Pulta.

  • Introducing stand-up comedy to Indian Television, the late satirist came into limelight with his popular TV series “Ulta Pulta,” when it was firstly aired on Doordarshan in 1989. Later in 1999, with his super-hit show “The Flop Show,” his massive fan following increased and made him India’s favourite comedian.   • Jaspal Bhatti used to run Nonsense Club in Chandigarh. He died in a road accident, the police mentioned that the accident took place near 1:30 pm in Nakodar city, Jalandhar district. It was a farmer who had first observed the accident, and who immediately informed the local police about the accident.
