Jasmine grew up on a hobby farm in Kenora, Canada.

Lorimer’s father passed away in 2001. After that, she was solely raised by their mother.
She has been artistic since childhood. She wanted to attend an art school, but she dropped the idea due to a lack of job opportunities.
After that, she learnt hair styling.
She moved to British Columbia, Canada for better job opportunities.
She also works as a model and has been featured in a music video for the duo King and Cash.
She came to be known as “Canada’s first-ever Bachelorette” with the 2016 reality TV dating game show The Bachelorette Canada. Out of the 20 contestants who tried to win her heart in the show, she got engaged to Kevin Wendt in the finale.

However, in April 2017, Lorimer and Wendt announced that they had amicably parted ways. This was 11 months after their engagement (five months after it aired for viewers).

In 2023, she organised a fundraiser on GoFundMe for two drivers named Jose and Edwin in Costa Rica to buy a car.
