Controversies	• Sentenced to Jail In 2019, Jani Master was sentenced to six months of jail by a local court in Medchal, Hyderabad. He was booked under sections 354 (assault on a woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 324 (voluntarily hurting by lethal weapons and means) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC for his involvement in a fight in a college in 2015. Jani Master was quoted saying in an interview that "I’m being unnecessarily framed in a dispute between the dance unions because I'm popular." • Rumoured to have Attended a Rave Party In 2024, Jani Master was rumoured to be attending a rave part in Bangalore. The choreographer denied the allegations and was quoted saying in an interview that "These baseless rumors claiming I was seen somewhere, with someone, doing something inappropriate are nothing but falsehoods. They are targeting me and my association with Janasena and its leader, Pawan Kalyan." • Accused of Misconduct As the presiding president of the Telugu Film and TV Dancers and Dance Directors Association (TFTDDA), in 2024, Jani Master was accused of misconduct and union disputes along with various other allegations made by a dancer named Satish. In response, Jani held a press conference alongside other union members in which he denied all the allegations and emphasized that the allegations against him were baseless and that he would leave the industry if proven wrong. • Accused of Sexual Abuse In 2024, a 21 year old lady accused him of sexually abusing her after which a zero FIR was filed against him. The woman also claimed that she was a minor at the time of the abuse, and she met him in 2017.
