His father, a well-known drama artist, hails from a family which belongs to Uttar Pradesh, India, and his mother who is a playback singer also belongs to a family of Assam, India. The families migrated to Pakistan during the partition in 1947.
Zaidi is well-known as the lead vocalist of Pakistani semiclassical band âKaavish,â which means struggle.
At the 10th Lux Style Awards in 2011, his debut album âGunkaliâ received two nominations which included âBest Artist Awardâ for Zaidi and âBest Producer Awardâ for Rafi.
His solo career is enclosed to music reality show, MTV Coke Studio where he has appeared as a featured artist in season 4 and as one of the house band members in season 7 and 8. He then appeared as one of the six music producers in the 9th season of the show.
