Jaan Nissar Lone is an Indian singer who is famous for his Hindi and Kashmiri compositions. He owns Kashmir’s first international music record label, “AR Music Studios.” He has worked with prominent singers in the Hindi music industry like Lata Mangeshkar , Asha Bhosle , Shaan , and many more.
He returned back to India after completing his master’s degree in London and shifted to Mumbai from Kashmir to pursue his passion for music.
Jaan Nissar has contributed to Kashmiri music and represented it worldwide which earned him the title of “The Valley’s Jaan” in Kashmir.
He has made many compositions like “Maayi Chaney” from the film Half Widow (2017), and “Harmukh Bartal” from the Hindi web series The Family Man, season 1.
He composed the song “Salam E Wazwane” to promote Wazwan, the traditional Kashmiri social function cuisine. His wife, Rani Hazarika was the singer of this composition.
Showcasing the talent of his singing and playing musical instruments like Rubab (the national musical instrument of Afghanistan, commonly played in the northern part of India and Pakistan) and Melodica, Jaan Nissar sang the song Pannun Watan in 2020.
