When Ira Dubey was studying at Yale University, she learned multiple aspects of acting, including speech and movement development, Shakespearean works, the Meisner technique, and the Michael Chekhov acting method.
At Yale University, she acted in over ten theatrical productions including âA Midsummer Nightâs Dream,â âOthello,â âThe House of Bernarda Alba,â and âBeckettâs Shorts.â
She hit the spotlight after she appeared as Pinky Bose, the best friend of Aisha Kapoor (played by Sonam Kapoor ), in the 2010 Hindi romantic comedy-drama film âAisha.â
