Some Lesser Known Facts About Indrani Mukerjea
Indrani Mukerjea met Siddhartha Das, a Tripura-based tea estate owner, at a party through a common friend in 1984. After completing her college education in Shillong, she began living with Siddhartha at Indraniās home in Guwahati and started a bakery shop.

Once, during a media discussion, Siddhartha Das said that Indraniās parents loved him and did not oppose him living in their house. check sources India TV He mentioned,
We stayed in the same room, but we never got married.ā
The official records state her birth year as 1972, but Siddhartha Das, Indrani Mukherjeeās ex-husband, once asserted in the media that her actual age might be at least 7 years older than documented.
In 1990, Indrani Mukerjea left her kids with her parents in Guwahati and went to Kolkata. While there, she met Sanjeev Khanna and married him.

In 1996, she founded āINX Services Private Limited,ā a recruitment company based in Kolkata, West Bengal. By 2001, she, along with her husband, Sanjeev Khanna, shifted to Mumbai, where her firm worked with clients such as Reliance Industries and STAR India.
After marrying Peter Mukerjea in 2002, Indrani Mukerjea introduced her children (Sheena and Mikhail; from her previous relationship) to him as siblings.
Thereafter, Peter Mukerjea adopted Vidhie (Indraniās daughter from Sanjeev Khanna).
In 2005, her company joined hands with IMD International Search Group and made Indrani its regional director for Asia Pacific.

Indrani Mukerjea and Peter became promoters of the INX Group in 2006. The group consisted of Human Resource companies namely INX Services and INX Executive Search, and media companies like INX Media and INX News.
Sheena Bora started residing with Peter and Indrani in 2006.
Indrani Mukerjea became the CEO of the INX group in 2007.
INX Media accumulated heavy losses due to the 2007-08 global financial crisis, and by March 2009, it was under high debt. Meanwhile, Indrani and Peter resigned from their management roles and sold their shares in April 2010. They also resigned from the board of directors in May 2011.

In 2012, Indrani became a UK citizen through her marriage to Peter Mukerjea .
Sheena Bora went missing in April 2012.
Indrani and Peter lived in Mumbai, Bristol, UK, and Marbella, Spain, until 2015.
In 2015, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) took the Sheena Bora Murder Case and charged Indrani under different sections of the Indian Penal Code.
Soon, CBI alleged that she and her husband, Peter Mukerjea, transferred money from INX Media to an offshore account in Sheena Bora ās name, possibly a motive for her murder.

During the investigations, CBI also stated that Indrani Mukerjea disapproved of Sheenaās relationship with Peterās son, Rahul Mukerjea, from a previous marriage.

In 2015, Indraniās driver, Shyam Rai, informed the police that Indrani and her ex-husband murdered Sheena in a car, strangling, burning, and burying her in Raigad forests, as per the Mumbai police commissioner. check sources India TV

While she was serving her sentence, Indrani Mukerjea informed the court that she translated some verses of the Bhagavad Gita into English and wished to publish them.
She revealed some details about her childhood during her court trials and claimed that she was sexually abused by her stepfather.
