Before bodybuilding, Illia was into tennis, snowboarding and biking when he was in school.
Illia used to be bullied in school because of his skinny looks, which forced him to join the gym. He also admitted that he could not even do one push-up when he was in school.

Illia got the inspiration for bodybuilding from icons like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone.
Illia was given the nickname ‘Golem’ by his friends. They named him due to his resemblance to the mythical creature of Jewish folklore, a being of immense strength and resilience.
Illia never competed professionally. He was famous for his appearances in popular training videos on social media.
Illia was associated with 5% Nutrition, a well-known supplement brand.
Illia used to take 16,500 calories every day. His daily diet plan included 300 grams of oats, 108 pieces of Sashimi sushi, 1300 grams of Beef + Desert, 500 grams of rice, 300 grams of pasta, 200 grams of cheese, and 3 pounds of New York City Strip steak.

Illia suffered a heart attack at home on 6 September 2024 after which he was airlifted to the hospital. He fell into a coma and after 5 days he was declared brain-dead by the doctors.
