Hillang Yajik was born in a lower-middle-class family.
She started dancing in church with other children.
After finishing school, she began going to the gym, where her trainer encouraged her to participate in bodybuilding competitions.

She later participated in various local bodybuilding shows, such as Women’s Sport Physique 2k18.

She was a backup dancer in an item song of the Varun Dhawan –Kriti Sanon film Bhediya in April 2021.

She was popular in college and also became Miss Fresher in her first year of graduation in 2021.

She became the first woman from Arunachal Pradesh to participate and finished 4th in the above 165 cm category at the 11th Federation Cup National Championship held at Gangtok, Sikkim from 11 to 14 March 2022.
In 2023, she became the official gang leader of season 1 of the Roadies of the Arunachal Hills.

She made headlines in 2024 when she was selected to represent India at the 56th Asian Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championship and the 15th WBPF World Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championship.

In June 2025, she became the first woman from Arunachal Pradesh to win 1st position (gold medal) in the Women’s Model Physique up to 155 cm event at the 15th South Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships 2025 at Thimphu in Bhutan. She also won a silver medal in another category.
