Hemant Mahaur is an Indian Indian director, producer, writer, and actor, who is known for acting in several Bollywood films including Agent Vinod (2012), Highway (2014), and Phantom (2015).
Almost every Sunday, Hemant’s father would take him and his mother to see a Hindi film. He made the decision to pursue acting as a career after growing up watching classic Indian cinema.
While he was a student at the National School of Drama, he worked under theater activists Panchanan Patak and Lalit Mohan Thapaliyal, B V Karanth, Habib Tanvir, Satyadev Dube, Kanhayya Lal, Mohan Maharishi, and Ram Gopal Bajaj.
During his time at the National School of Drama in New Delhi, Hemant Mahaur received training under the guidance of renowned actor Naseeruddin Shah .

He appeared in numerous plays and theatrical festivals between 1989 and 1994, including the Ipta Festival and the Nandikar Theatrical Festival. Hemant appeared in the play ‘Dragon’ under the direction of Prasanna Heggodu Vols Handle.

He performed in the critically acclaimed Hindi movie ‘The Warrior’ (2001), which received the prestigious BAFTA award and was also nominated for an Oscar. Additionally, he appeared in the film ‘Swaraj The Little Republic’ (2003), which received a National award.
Hemant lent his voice as a dubbing artist for the character of Duryodhana in the animated movie ‘Arjun: The Worrier Prince’ released in 2012.
Hemant wrote dialogues for the Hindi film ‘Chilam,’ followed by the story, screenplay, and dialogues for the short films ‘THE KITE’ (2011), and ‘Mayanagari.’
He played the role of Suresh Krishnan in the film Agent Vinod (2012), starring Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor .
