Some Lesser Known Facts About Hare Ram Pandey
Hare Ram Pandy is an Indian farmer and social worker who is known for âNarayan Sewa Ashramâ for orphan girls in Jharkhand. He came into the limelight in October 2023 after appearing on the Indian reality show âKaun Banega Crorepati,â telecasted on Sony Entertainment Television.
According to him, Hare Ram Pandey used to work as a compounder at Jawaharlal Medical College, Bhagalpur. However, in 1983, he left the job due to some personal reasons. Thereafter, he joined the family farming.
In 2022, he shared in a media interview that when he was young, he had taken up the responsibility of raising a girl from his family, whose mother had died.
In October 2023, Hare Ram Pandy appeared in the Indian reality show âKaun Banega Crorepatiâ where he shared that he rescued an abandoned infant girl child from the bushes of his village on 9 December 2004. He then took that girl to his home and named her Taapsee, who was studying in class 10 in 2023. Hare Ram Pandey said,
I still remember that time. That day I had just woken up after doing sadhna when someone informed me that a little girl was found behind the Deoghar CBI Training Center. I ran there and brought the girl home. The condition of that girl was very bad. There were ants in her navel and she had gone into a coma. Her treatment lasted for about 21 days, after which she recovered completely.â

Thereafter, Hare Ram Pandy decided to rescue and take care of every abandoned girl child until his death. Soon, he, along with his wife, established âNarayan Sewa Aashramâ in their own house for these homeless girls. He stated in the same conversation that he bore all the education expenses of the orphaned girls.

Soon after his appearance in the âKaun Banega Crorepati,â one of his videos was shared with the audience on the internet. In the video, he said that he felt blessed to serve the orphaned girls. Hare Ram Pandey said,
Jitna puniya hume pujja path se nahi milaâŠutna punya mujhe inn betiyo ki seeva me mil raha hai⊠main yeh marte dum tak karta rahunga (After doing so much pujja path in my life, I have never felt so much blessed that I feel while taking care of these girlsâŠ.I will keep doing it till I die.)â

Hare Ram Pandey sold his ancestral property and used to borrow money from his relatives for the upbringing of the abandoned girls.

Over time, many people began telling Hare Ram about girls who were wandering alone on the streets or were in difficult situations. Whenever Hare Ram Pandey heard such news, he would quickly go to help the needy girl child and bring her to his home. There were five mentally handicapped girls in his house in 2023. Hare Ramâs son, daughter-in-law, and wife also help him with this work. What Hare Ram started as a small act of kindness was later continued by his children. His daughter-in-law, Gayatri, takes care of all the responsibilities for these girls. Gayatriâs job is to teach them and help them learn art and other skills.
