In an interview, she revealed that after completing her college education, she was often told by acting agents that although she is a good actor, they found her too mature to play young woman roles. She said,
I remember coming out of drama school, and like three or four agents getting me in and theyâd say, âI think youâre fabulous, youâre wonderful. But youâre just not the kind of 19-year-old that we would cast. I think youâre not going to work until youâre about 40.â Iâd be like, âIâm 19! What am I gonna do for the next 20 years?'â
