Haniya along with her cousin Zeb Bangash began her singing career in 2007 as a member of music group Zeb and Haniya. Both began singing at a very young age.
In 2011, the sisters played ‘The Hindu’s Novemberfest’ in Chennai, Coimbatore, and Hyderabad.
Haniya, in 2011, along with Zeb was featured on ‘The Dewarists,’ an Indian travelogue/music TV show aired on Star World India.
In 2014, the music group Zeb and Haniya broke up after Haniya fled to Canada for her studies and began her solo career there.
She served as the sound designer in ‘Lala Begum,’ a 2016 Pakistani drama short film.
