  • Before coming into football, Gurpreet tried his luck in both cricket and volleyball but could not achieve much success, He even joined the Punjab Cricket Association Academy in Mohali to pursue cricket but later dropped the idea due to not being given enough chances.

  • When he was 8, he joined St Stephen’s Academy, where he performed well and was selected for the Punjab U16 team; he stayed with the academy till 2009.
