Controversies On 25 February 2017, she posted a photo of herself on Twitter and Facebook, holding a placard with messages such as, "I am student from Delhi University. I am not afraid of ABVP. I am not alone. Every student of India is with me."

She was responding to violence in Ramjas College when Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) members allegedly assaulted students, teachers, and journalists during a protest march. After getting the alleged rape threats for opposing ABVP, she lodged a complaint with the Delhi commission for women.
