  • Gurjapneet Singh was born in a Sikh family in Ludhiana, Punjab but was raised in Ambala, Haryana by his parents who worked there.

  • He liked playing cricket with his school friends when he was young.

  • When he was in 5th or 6th standard, he told his parents that he wanted to play cricket and wanted to become a professional cricketer.

  • His father later took him to a cricket academy in Ambala where he started playing with leather balls.

  • He later played for many local teams but could not find good training facilities. So he moved to Chennai in 2017.
