Some Lesser Known Facts About Gomita
Gomita is a popular Mexican entertainer who became famous as a clown on Televisa’s programme “Sabadazo.”
Gomita went from performing alongside her father to becoming a clown on the streets of Neza, Mexico City. Prior to becoming famous, she worked as the host of her father’s band, Los Guairos.
Other clowns lovingly called Gomita “Gomi, gomi gomita” because of her chubby look.
Gomita then went for professional clown training and even collaborated with multiple circuses, including the well-known Mexican circus “Circo Hermanos Vázquez.”
In early 2016, after her grandfather’s death, Gomita expressed gratitude for his unwavering support through challenging times. She fondly remembered his applause from the stands when no one else showed up to watch her perform at the circus.
Gomita performed in three circuses and was also involved in the Vázquez Brothers’ performances in Mexico City. At that time, she received an invitation to take part in the “TV de Noche” program.
Gomita’s major breakthrough came when she debuted on television and became a part of the TV program “TV de noche.”
Despite facing conflicts with her co-stars behind the scenes, Gomita was quite popular on the show. In spite of the controversy, she grew to be a popular icon on Mexican TV.
In September 2016, Gomita became a member of the musical program “Qué rollo,” but she didn’t stay there for long.
In the show, “Sabadazo,” Gomita was performing with her siblings in the comedic trio consisting of Lapizito, Gomita, and Lapizin.
In an interview, Gomita revealed about the abuse she experienced from Laura G and Cecilia Galliano both on and off the show “Sabadazo” when she was just 16 years old.
Because of the circumstances, Gomita exited the show, however, her absence resulted in a decrease in the broadcast’s success, leading to her being brought back and given an opportunity to be a host. From that point forward, she no longer wore circus attire.
At present, Gomita boasts a desirable physique that sets her apart from her early days in television. She underwent a gastric bypass and then shared the physical changes she experienced.
Gomita’s cover shoot for “Revista H para Hombres” where she posed provocatively also caught people’s attention. After that attention, she has faced criticism for her many plastic surgeries, such as liposuction and breast augmentation.
Gomita explained that due to her dissatisfaction with her body, she decided to have multiple surgeries; however, she gradually developed an addiction to them.
She passed through the surgery room to change her chin, enhance her lips, shape her nose (3 times), correct her chin, undergo a bichat removal, enlarge her breasts, and receive liposuction on her legs, among other procedures.
Gomita has appeared on “Enamorándonos” as well but her time there was brief because she didn’t like the show’s format and she even claims that she was not even paid for her appearance.
In 2024, Gomita was a contestant on “La Casa de los Famosos Mexico 2.”
