She played rugby with her brother and sister in her backyard. She also played for an all-boys team playing for Highfields Eagles.

When she turned 12, she was told that she couldn’t play for a boys’ team. So, she played many team sports including netball and cricket.
One of her friends took her to Darling Downs trials where she got selected, starting her cricketing journey.
