Geetanjali Kirloskar is an Indian businesswoman. She is popular for being the Chairperson and Managing Director of Kirloskar Systems Limited. She was married to Vikram Kirloskar , Vice Chairperson of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, who died of a heart attack on 29 November 2022.
She comes from a bureaucratic-diplomatic background. Her father belongs to the royal family of Sangli in Maharashtra and her mother is a Kashmiri.
Since childhood, she has loved sports and dramatics. This helped her explore her competitive side.

Geetanjali and her husband met at a party thrown by their mutual friend. At the party, their family introduced them and Geetanjali was attracted to Vikram’s charm. On the other hand, Vikram was attracted to her because she was a writer and actor. In an interview, while talking about her marriage, she said that Vikram offered to drop her home after the party and she agreed to it. They spent some time together and got to know each other better. They agreed to get married because of their mutual decision for Geetanjali to study further and work after marriage.

In an interview, she said that she was a vegetarian, but her husband and his family were hardcore non-vegetarians. At the beginning of their marriage, she faced difficulty in adjusting, but as time passed, she got used to it.
Geetanjali worked as an advertising professional for a long time. She became the chief executive of Quadrant Communications, renamed by the Lintas, who held a majority stake in Pratibha Advertising, owned by The Kirloskars.
She went to London and trained in two departments of a very large advertising agency in brand strategy development and client servicing.
She also started a concept called Lintertainment which focused on building the brand into the storyline rather than standing out.
After working at Quadrant Communications for a long time, she became the chairperson of the Indo-Japan Initiative. At that time, many companies requested the Kirloskars to teach them how to work with the Japanese. So, she decided to start IJI with some funding from the group and contributions from a few companies including Infosys, Bharat Forge, Canon, Mitsui, and Citizen. This initiative led to several seminars and events to understand the Japanese style of manufacturing and teach the Japanese about Indian cuisine or apparel.
She appeared in the Hindi film Samay (2003), where she made a cameo as a victim’s wife.

She has also been the host of a talk show titled Life’s Like That on Times Now. She hosted over 38 episodes.
In an interview, she said that when she was working in advertising and media, she did not face gender biases, but when she joined her family, people could not accept the fact that they were working under a female boss.
In 2021, she was appointed as the head of the CSR committee under the Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education Department.

During the pandemic, she was appreciated by the Government of Karnataka for providing a unique modular 100-bed centre for COVID-19 patients.
In 2022, she took over the role of Chairperson at Toyota Tsusho Insurance Broker India Ltd and became a Director at Kirloskar Systems Limited. She also served as the Chairperson of Kirloskar Technologies Ltd. Additionally, she established Sakra World Hospital in Bangalore and took on the role of Chairperson at the hospital.
In December 2022, Geetanjali wrote a “eulogy,” published in the Times Of India to remember her late husband Vikram Kirloskar . Vikram died in November 2022. In the letter, she wrote that she did not want to mourn his death but celebrate it.

In an interview, she said that she doesn’t like cooking. When her husband was alive, he used to cook lunch and dinner on weekends for her and their daughter.
