Some Lesser Known Facts About Geeta Mali
Geeta Mali was born and brought up in Maharashtra.
She drew her singing inspiration from the legendary Indian playback singers Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle .
On 11 December 2011, she started a YouTube channel on her name “Geeta Mali.”
In 2015, she was honoured with the Swayamsiddha Award.
In 2016, she performed at the Nashik International Film Festival 8th Golden Camera awards, where she sang many hit songs.
Geeta had her own musical band called “Geeta Ganga Musical Band.”
On 14 November 2019, she had returned from the United States and was on her way to her hometown Nashik that her car met with an accident; leading to her death. Reportedly, she was accompanied by her husband when the car suddenly rammed into an oil container. In the accident, both Geeta Mali and her husband received serious injuries. They were brought to the nearby Shahapur Rural Hospital where Geeta died during treatment.
On the same day, soon after her landing in Mumbai from the United States, Geeta Mali had shared a selfie on her Facebook account with the caption- ‘Very Happy To Back Home long time.’
