Some Lesser Known Facts About Gayathri Arun
Gayathri Arun has been interested in acting since childhood and participated in and won various district and state-level cultural competitions.
In 1996, she won the Best Actress prize at the Kerala School Kalolsavam (earlier known as Kerala State School Youth Festival) held in Kottayam, Kerala.

She started hosting television shows on local television channels in her student days.
In 2006, she hosted the popular shows, Kalalayavarnangal, Gandharva Sangeetham, and Circus telecasted on Kairali TV.
After graduating, she worked at an event management company for a brief period after which she worked as a radio jockey at Club FM.
She joined Mathrubhumi Newspaper in the advertisement department in 2011.
In 2013, she availed a leave of two and a half years from Mathrubhumi when she acted in the popular TV serial Parasparam to play the lead role of Deepthi IPS. She gained popularity as Deepthi Sooraj IPS, in the long-running TV serial Parasparam with 1524 episodes from 2013 to 2018.

Her first lead role was as Rajashree in the film Ormma (2019).

Her other notable roles in the Malayalam film industry were Seena Das in One (2021) and Lakshmi Balu in Ennalum Ente Aliya (2023).
She has appeared as a host of television shows and events such as the Ente Amma Superaa (2023) and Mazhavil Entertainment Awards 2023.

She wrote the book Achappam Kathakal in 2021. The book was officially released by actor Mohanlal and the first copy of the book was received by Manju Warrier .

She is active on social media and has nearly eight lakh subscribers on her YouTube channel, Life Stories by Gayathri Arun, and over eight lakh followers on her Instagram account, as of July 2024.
She is a trained musician who sang in a music video and performed classical music with her sister-in-law, Anjana, in 2022.
