His comments received mixed reviews on social media with many claiming that his bill is less as he already owns a part of his grocery. Later, in 2022, he added a comment on his post and claimed that his comments on the grocery bill were sarcastic while also noting the doubled price of butter since his post in 2018. ⹠Remarks against an author's claim of emotional burden of a mother In 2018, he took to his Facebook and claimed that after listening to an author on a podcast who claimed that mother's have higher emotional burden than fathers, he felt that the author was praising the victimisation. He further claimed that being a parent should not be considered a burden, but a responsibility, and said, "I have been separated from the mother of my children since 2012 and I had an emotional burden before and I have the same emotional burden after. In fact, I don't call it a burden, but a responsibility. A responsibility that I knew before deciding to be a parent." ⹠Remarks against a restaurant owner for starting a GoFundMe In 2024, after actress Anick Lemay started a GoFundMe campaign for public support to help her restaurant, Mam'zelle Pub, François took to X (formerly Twitter) and criticised her for starting the campaign.
