She used to sing in her school and city choir during her childhood.

With both of my children, I experienced the two Balkan wars. With Robert when he was small, only nine months old, I experienced the war in Sarajevo, while with Redon during pregnancy, the process of his birth took place in the Kosovo War. I mean, I am a participant in two wars, who would have said that?ā
She was offered French citizenship after being given asylum in France during the Kosovo war but she rejected the citizenship and moved to her hometown in Pristina, Kosovo.
She has released several albums and songs including āFjollatā (1989), āGiliā (1993), āXixĆ«lonjaā (1995), āFol shqip!ā (1996), āStudentiā (1998), āZemerā (2011), and āJa Une, Ja Tiā (2022).
