Farida Udhas and Pankaj Udhas share a heartwarming love story that began when Pankaj was studying in college and Farida was working as an air hostess. They first met each other at one of Pankaj’s neighbor’s houses in 1979 and later started dating.
Initially, Farida’s parents did not accept their relationship because of their different backgrounds; however, Pankaj later persuaded them to agree to their marriage.
In an interview, Pankaj Udhas revealed that during the launch of his debut album, he fell short of some money. At that time, Farida Udhas helped him by borrowing money to support the launch of his album. While talking about it in the interview, he said,
While I was launching my first album, I ran short of a few thousand rupees. Farida didn’t have money either. We weren’t married then. But the next day she handed over the sum to me. She had borrowed it.”
