| Controversy | Arrested for Buying Drugs In May 2001, he was arrested in Juhu, Mumbai, by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for trying to buy a gram of cocaine. After the arrest, the NCB claimed that Fardeen has a link with the alleged drug dealer named Nasir Abdul Karim. Fardeenâs lawyer later shared that Fardeen was trying to buy only a gram of cocaine for which Fardeen tried to withdraw Rs 3500 from an ATM. However, his ATM card got stuck, and he could not make the transaction. In 2012, the case was dropped.
