In their 10th ‘Ranmini’ Battle Inter-School Big Match in March 2019, he took 6 wickets for 28 runs in the first innings and 5 wickets for 35 runs in the second innings, totalling 11 wickets for 63 runs.

In October 2019, he participated in the Airtel Fastest Pace bowling program and became the fastest bowler in the Under-19 category with a bowling speed of 141 kph (87.6 mph).

He later suffered a back injury and stopped playing. He trained with Palitha Nandasena who helped him recover.

In 2022, he made his debut for Ragama Cricket Club in the domestic circuit of Sri Lanka.
In June 2024, he trained at the MRF Pace Academy in Chennai, India.

He helped Jaffna Kings to win the 2024 Lanka Premier League (LPL) in July 2024.

In November 2024, he played for the Sri Lanka Emerging Team in the 2024 Emerging Asia Cup.

SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) acquired him for Rs 1 crore 20 lakhs against his base price of Rs 30 lakhs in the 2025 IPL auction held in December 2024.
