Emcee Jesz is a Malaysian rapper and started singing at the age of 18.
He performed at various stage shows and cultural events in Malaysia and Chennai.
An American rapper âDr. Dreâ is his role model.
In 2002, a popular Malaysian singer Yogi B signed him under his record label âBoombox Recordsâ after watching his performance at an underground hip-hop gig.
In 2006, Yogi B introduced him as a Nachatra of the hip-hop album âVallavan.â The songs of the album like âMadai Thiranthuâ and âIndian Girlsâ became so popular and gave him the chance to work with popular musical composers like Vijay Anthony, Harris Jeyaraj, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Dharan, and D Imman.
He also recorded the songs for more than 10 commercial Tamil films.
In 2009, he released his first International Tamil hip-hop album âKavithai Gundarâ which got his huge fame.
A leading Tamil online radio station in Malaysia âTHR Raagaâ awarded him the Most Popular Artiste Award 2009.
He is the first Malaysian Tamil artist who has been signed under an Indian label.
After gaining huge success, he started performing for International gigs like USA, Singapore, Canada, United Kingdom and Sri Lanka.
He made his acting debut in 2017 with the Tamil film âChennai2Singapore.â
