Ella Rubin spent her childhood in the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City.

As a child, Rubin’s main passion was painting. At that point, she never considered acting.
Rubin was 11 when became eager to pursue acting, but her parents were hesitant. Her mother warned Ella that acting was not as glamorous as it seemed.
Elle got into acting unexpectedly when she went with her best friend to an audition for a kid’s theatre group and ended up landing the lead role in that year’s production. There, an agent noticed her performance and contacted her mother, who later supported her passion for acting.
Ella’s best friend Mia, who was the one who actually wanted to audition, did not enjoy acting and never returned to the class.
In 2013, Ella played the role of ‘Lara Sonnenland’ in the crime drama television series ‘Unforgettable,’ which aired on CBS.
