Some Lesser Known Facts About Ekta Kapur
Ekta Kapur used to work before she married chef Kunal Kapur , but she quit her job afterwards. She reportedly left her job because her in-laws pressured her to become a housewife.
In 2015, she started living separately from Kunal.
Kunal Kapoor once alleged that Ekta often made threats to tarnish his image on social media and would deliberately create scenes in public to humiliate him.
He once claimed that while he was shooting for MasterChef India in 2016, Ekta arrived on the set and created a disturbance.
While Kunal accused her of disrespecting his parents and humiliating him, Ekta refuted his claims and levelled allegations of cheating and emotional abuse against him.
Kunal later attempted to file for divorce based on Ekta’s cruelty, but the family court denied him the divorce. Ekta, on the other hand, accused him of making false allegations against her to seek divorce.
In March 2024, the Delhi High Court granted Kunal a divorce from Ekta after noticing her lack of dignity and empathy towards him.
