Some Lesser Known Facts About Durai Murugan
During his graduation, Durai Muruganās education was sponsored by the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. G. Ramachandran, who was the local guardian for Durai for six years (second and third year of BA, two years of Law College, and two years of MA).
During an interview, Durai Murgun revealed that he joined the DMK party in 1953 as he was inspired by former Chief Minister C N Annaduraiās Dravida Nadu ideology. He said,
Even if I did not get any post, I would have continued to serve the party as a primary member and continued to raise slogans for the party by holding its flag,ā Durai Murugan said in a statement. I am beyond attachments. Many did not know that.ā
In March 2020, Durai Murugun resigned from the post of treasurer of the DMK party after the demise of Anbazhagan and submitted his resignation to party president M K Stalin .
