Drew Hicks is an Indian American Hindi YouTuber and content creator. In 2023, he came into the limelight after his fluent Hindi-speaking video went viral on social media.
Once, in a media discussion, he stated that he moved to India when he was five years old with his parents. He then lived in different places in India for eleven years. His parents first moved to Varanasi. During his time in India, Drew Hicks learned Hindi and became fluent in the language. He spent more than a decade of his childhood in India and travelled all over it with his parents, who used to study Hindi at Banas Hindu University. Drew Hicks said,
India has a diverse range of landscapes, cities, and people, making it hard for me to choose a favourite place. However, I do have a few favourites such as Kedarnath for its scenic beauty and mountains, Jaisalmer for its deserts and architecture, Goa for its beaches, and Delhi for its parties.”
Drew Hicks added in the same discussion that many places in India were close to his heart, and his many Indian friends were like his family who kept calling him back to India.

During the same interview, Drew Hicks then talked about how he learned Hindi and Bhojpuri, which he speaks fluently, despite having an accent. He said that his father’s export business in India led them to relocate to Bihar, where his father took an interest in Madhubani paintings.

According to Drew Hicks, he moved to Thailand after completing his formal education and began working for an online organisation. He then began creating online content part-time and began creating videos while showcasing his experiences and travels in India and the United States.
In 2019, Drew Hicks collaborated with Yachen Lee, a YouTuber, who gained viral fame for his Korean appearance combined with a Bihari Hindi accent. They created videos and uploaded them to their respective YouTube channels.
