Some Lesser Known Facts About Dr. Niharika Porwal
Dr. Niharika Porwal grew up in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
She belongs to a family of architects and engineers.
During her school days, she actively took part in dance competitions and theatre plays. She was also active in sports.
After completing her MBBS from Odisha, Niharika returned to Lucknow, where she worked in the ICCU Unit of Shekhar Hospital for three months.

Meanwhile, she applied for jobs at several international universities.
Soon, she received an offer from the University of Nevada, America, to work there as a research scientist.
A year later, she moved to California for further studies.
In California, Niharika started taking weekend workshops on theatre. During one of the workshops, she met Hollywood director Michael Damian who invited her for a movie premiere. There, when she walked the red carpet, she realised that she wanted to become an actress.

She then started making dance videos and uploading them on her social media accounts.
During the second wave of COVID-19, Niharika returned to her hometown, where she received a call saying she had been selected for the TV series Shiksha Mandal.
Initially, she thought that it was a prank or a fraud. However, she submitted her audition videos after which she was invited to Mumbai to attend a workshop.
In 2023, she appeared as Akrti in the film Mahakal Nagri.
In the same year, she appeared in the reality TV show IRL: In Real Love as Monae Rachaelle.
In 2024, she participated in the dating reality TV show MTV Splitsvilla Season 15.
She has also worked as an anchor for Cricket Insomnia.
