He secured 27th rank in his EAMCET (Engineering Agricultural and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test) out of 60,000 students which helped him get into Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad.
He was a member of a team representing Pennsylvania, USA, for 2 years in a national medical knowledge competition while completing his postgraduation.
He worked as an attending physician at Johns Hopkins University – Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, United States, for 5 years after completing his postgraduation.
He has worked for the residents of Palnadu, Andhra Pradesh to receive free and clean water for more than 10 years.
In 2001, he wrote more than 250 questions for the students who were preparing for the United States Medical Licensing Examination because he felt that the study resources that were available at that time were expensive and of poor quality.
