DP Manu is an Indian track and field athlete who specializes in javelin throw.
In 2022, he threw a javelin really far with a personal best of 84.35 meters and won a competition called the Inter-State Championships in Chennai. Because of this, he was declared the fourth-best Indian javelin thrower ever.
DP Manu’s mother and father are farmers, and they have a coffee farm in Hassan, Karnataka.
In June 2022, he won the Indian National Championships. Then he went to the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and finished in fifth place.
In 2022, he threw javelins farther than 80 meters in five out of nine competitions. Then, in July 2023, at the Asian Athletics Championships in Bangkok, he threw over 81 meters and earned a silver medal.
Later in 2023, he was chosen to represent India at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest. He did really well in the qualification round by throwing the javelin 81.31 meters, which got him into the finals. In the finals, he achieved the sixth position with a throw of 84.14 meters.
