Her father and uncle were both rappers. Her father used to record music professionally.
When she was a child, she experienced bullying, which led her to create a new character named Doechii.
After completing her school education, she joined the Howard W. Blake School of the Arts, where she auditioned and was accepted.
This opportunity opened the doors to ballet, tap dancing, singing, acting, cheerleading, soccer, and gymnastics for her.
In 2014, Doechii began making music.
She wanted to be a professional choral singer, but one of her friends encouraged her to release her music online.
