Some Lesser Known Facts About Divyang Thakkar
Divyang Thakkar is an Indian actor, director, theatre artist, and writer.
He was born in Gujarat and brought up in Mumbai.
At the age of 17, Divyang started working as a theatre artist, and since then has performed in many Gujarati theatre plays. In an interview, he shared how he thought of becoming an actor. He said,
I was only four years old then, and I had goosebumps watching seasoned actors on the stage. I wanted to be on the stage and act. And then, I debuted on stage at the age of 17 in professional theatre! I used to work as an actor during the day and do night shifts at a call centre.â
In 2012, he acted in the English language Indian film âChanakya Speaksâ in which he played the role of Aamir Maqvi.

He has acted in various Gujarati films like âBey Yaarâ (2014), âKhaatti Meethi Settingâ (2016), and âChasaniâ (2019).

In an interview, while talking about his role model Naseeruddin Shah , he said,
Watching Naseeruddin Shah, who is my role model, is awe-inspiring. He is just so natural in front of the camera. Also, during Kevi Rite Jaish, I learnt a lot from Anang Desai and Tom Alter. Acting is a two-way process and itâs important to make your fellow actors feel comfortable. And these people do it really well.â
