Dinesh Kumar is an Indian lawn bowler. In 2022, he came into the limelight after he won a silver medal in the men’s pairs and the men’s fours at the 2022 Commonwealth Games organised in Birmingham along with his teammates Navneet Singh, Chandan Kumar Singh , and Sunil Bahadur. They lost 5-18 to England in the final at Victoria Park at Royal Leamington Spa.

Dinesh Kumar represented India three times in the Commonwealth Games; in the triples at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, the pairs and fours at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, and in the triples and fours at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
In the 2014 Commonwealth Games, the Indian lawn bowls men’s fours team topped their section but lost the bronze medal to Australia in a playoff match. In the 2018 Commonwealth Games, the men’s fours lawn bowls team won section B; however, failed in the quarter-finals and lost the medal to Wales.

In 2019, Dinesh Kumar clinched a bronze medal in a triples event at the Asia Pacific Bowls Championships in the Gold Coast, Queensland.
