During high school, Dhru Purohit suffered from acne problems which remained a health issue for him till his graduation.
His teeth were also not in shape so he had braces for four years.
After his graduation, Dhru Purohit attended a conference in Los Angeles during the gap year before pursuing his further education.
At the conference, he learned about the gut microbiome and its possible connection to skin problems like acne. The conference focused on meditation and wellness and also addressed the impact of dairy products on gut health.
During that time, he was a vegetarian and dairy products were an important part of his diet. After attending the conference, he decided to stop eating dairy products for a couple of months to see if it made a difference.
Within two months, his skin cleared up completely. This incident motivated him to study deeper into the area of health and wellness.
Dhru Purohit always had a passion for computers and decided to pursue a course in computer science with a minor in philosophy at the University level.
During the daytime, he began attending University and started spending his weekends, nights, and sometimes early mornings educating himself in the field of health and wellness.
During his time at the university, Dhru Purohit found his mentor whose name was Nature Love, who became an important influence in his life.
While Dhruv was at University, he decided to quit his studies and start a business. Soon, he launched a business in functional medicine and began meeting medical doctors.
Later, he began hosting a podcast named the Dhru Purohit Show, which was among the top 50 global health podcasts in 2024 with over 30 million downloads. In the show, he invites intellectual personalities in the fields of wellness, medicine, and mindset and takes their interview on topics related to the workings of the human brain and body.
